This zip file contains a saved Bios from an A101 board. The Bios-date is: 12/10/1996 S The Board has a SMC 37C669 I/O Chip and V1.1 is printed beside the keyboard connector This Bios requires a flash Chip (SST 29EE010, Winbond 29EE011 or Atmel 29C010). If you have a V1.1 with a later Bios version, I would like to have a copy! USE THIS BIOS AT YOUR OWN RISK! Thanks to Benedikt Claeys for providing the Bios and the info.

The Board has an UMC I/O Chip and V1.4 is printed beside the keyboard connector This version can use the same upgrade as the other PCChips VX boards (M520, M525, M530, M535 etc). This upgrade may prevent you from using the 75MHz FSB-setting (66 MHz max then). In return, you get native support for drives over 8GB (up to 32GB) and SCSI/LS/ZIP/CDRom-Boot. Check your current Bios-ID for an appended letter (L or S). Visit AJZ's PCChips-collection for an upgrade Choose the Bios upgrade with the same letter-code. |
